This is a round precision housing with a large through bore for fitting a bearing, sleeve, or seal cartridge, combined with an integral pedestal base for rigid mounting on a flat surface. The part includes two small eye‑lugs at the top for auxiliary fastening or alignment of covers and accessories, and a solid top boss that can be machined for ports or fastening features as required.​​

The component is produced as a near‑net‑shape casting with machined sealing and mounting surfaces, suitable for accurate concentricity and load transfer in rotating equipment. It is typically made from ductile (SG) iron or alloy steel to provide high strength, wear resistance, and good fatigue performance under vibration and dynamic loading.​
